Random thoughts while trying to get going
Apr. 28th, 2007 01:49 pmThe screeching of children playing in our neighbor's yard and the howling of lawnmowers all over the damn neighborhood woke me from another strange dream around 10 this morning. That and a pounding headache.
I dragged my butt out of bed, fed the cats, ate a waffle, took a Naproxen and a handful of the insanely expensive supplements I let my chiropractor talk me into buying, and went back to bed. Dozed off but couldn't fall asleep again because I feel too guilty when I'm in bed while everyone around me is up and working.
Four hours, two cups of coffee and another Naproxen later, I haven't made much progress. I'm up. I'm sitting at my desk, barefoot and still in pyjamas. I can still hear a lawnmower somewhere. I hate the damn things! Lawnmowers and those deadblasted yardblowers. I have yet to wash my face, but I managed to brush my teeth. Damn headache! The painkillers have reduced the pounding to a dull ache, but my head feels as if it's stuffed with Pygmy Puffs. My migraines are normally a sign of drastic weather changes, but so far, it's a bright and sunny day. I never watch or listen to the weather channel, so I don't know what's coming, but it just occurred to me for some reason that hurricane season is almost around the corner. Damn hurricanes!
