Just got home from a free concert downtown. Vince Vance was playing. I'd never heard of the guy, but apparently he's quite famous. It took the organizers a lot of effort to get him to perform in this ~~tedious hellhole~~ small town in the South I ~~vegetate~~ live in, so I decided to give it a shot.

The band was actually pretty good (even though I'm more of a hardrock than a rock'n'roll person), but I left halfway through the performance because I kept running into people I meet through my job all the time and, as usual, didn't know what to talk about and felt awkward. They ended up wandering off and I ended up depressed.

I don't think I'll go to another community event by myself again. Ever. There is only so much loneliness I can bear.
